Three-Year Agreement Between EWU and WSU Men’s Basketball Launches December 17

Spokane, WA — The court is set, the rivalry continues, and the 509 Classic is ready to become a must-attend annual event for fans across the Inland Northwest. Eastern Washington University and Washington State University will face off at the Spokane Arena on December 17th in the inaugural 509 Classic, launching a three-year agreement between the two universities and their men’s basketball programs to battle in Downtown Spokane. 

The 509 Classic brings together these two regional programs to electrify fans across the Northwest. It promises to be more than a game, it’s a new tradition grounded in intensity, pride, and unforgettable moments that strengthens both universities and the Inland Northwest.
